Flutter Team Announces Global Roadshow for 2026: Core Developers to Hit 20+ Cities Worldwide
Breaking: Flutter Team Takes Developer Engagement on the Road in 2026
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – April 1, 2026 – The Flutter core team will embark on a year-long global tour starting this spring, visiting key developer hubs in North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. The initiative aims to gather direct feedback, showcase the forthcoming Dart 3.12 and Flutter 3.44 releases, and strengthen ties with the community.
“Some of the most impactful moments of my career have come from community-led events,” said Jane Doe, Head of Flutter Developer Relations at Google. “This tour ensures we’re meeting developers where they are, not just online but face-to-face.”
The tour includes high-profile events such as Google Cloud Next (Las Vegas, April 22–24), Google I/O (Sunnyvale, May 19–20), Flutterconf Spain (Malaga, May 8), and Fluttercon USA (Orlando, July 16–17). A full list of 27 confirmed stops spans through winter 2026, with more to be announced.
Background: Why Now?
The push comes as Flutter — Google’s open-source UI toolkit — continues to expand into full-stack, multi-platform applications. The upcoming releases of Dart 3.12 and Flutter 3.44 are expected to bring significant performance improvements and new ephemeral experiences.
“We’re building the most productive framework for high-performance apps, and we need constant input from the global community,” added John Smith, Flutter Product Manager. “This tour is our way of being transparent and open, and of hearing from every developer who uses Flutter.”
Google has also ramped up its community programs, including the Flutter Meetup Organizer Network, Flutteristas, the Flutter Consultants Program, and Google Developer Experts, all designed to foster grassroots engagement.

What This Means for Developers
For Flutter developers, the tour presents rare face time with the engineers and product leads behind the framework. Attendees can expect live demos, hands-on workshops, and direct feedback sessions that influence the product roadmap.
“If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to connect with the team, see a live demo, or give us feedback in person, this is your chance,” said Doe. “We want to meet as many of you as possible, and every conversation shapes the future of Flutter.”
The tour also emphasizes the community-first approach that has driven Flutter’s rapid adoption. Google Developer Experts and local meetup organizers will co-host several events, ensuring local perspectives are heard.
Community Programs and How to Get Involved
In parallel, the Flutter team’s Developer Relations (DevRel) group has expanded its advisory boards, partner networks, and sponsorship for independent events. Developers can reach out via the Flutter Events page if their meetup isn't listed – the team will try to attend if already in the area.
“Our mission is to build the most productive app framework, and that means hearing from you,” emphasized Smith. “We’re investing in the global community like never before.”
Stay tuned to Flutter.dev/events for updates. Event additions and changes will be posted throughout the year.
